The Office of Marketing and Communications is responsible for enhancing Scripps College’s reputation by promoting the College’s unique curriculum, highly accomplished faculty, students, and alumnae, and significant contributions to the preparation of leaders. This is one of the main powerhouses for editing the Scripps public website (which is currently in a long process to be revitalized).
This is also the most student-facing branch of the External Relations and Institutional Advancement (ERIA) Division. It is very accessible and can provide information about many of the offices all around campus, including outside of the ERIA.
In general, the Marketing and Communications team is not directly involved with students. However, it is always good to be aware of each office's role. Here is what they do!
The Office of Public Events and Community Programs curates a roster of dynamic public programs through its series Scripps Presents. It also supports the activities of the Scripps and greater Southern California communities by making available several of its campus structures and outdoor spaces for public use for a variety of events, including conferences, weddings, receptions, theatrical and musical performances, lectures, and other special events.
